Vegetarian Cookbooks by Harvard Common Press Review (National Nutrition Month®)

Photobucket
I love vegetables, and gained more of an appreciation for them after taking a nutrition class in grad school. Vegetables are a great way to get nutrients our body needs but don't produce. The only thing is, I wish I could cook them better. My vegetable repertoire consists of stir-fry with an occasional roasting in the oven. Also, I use the same veggies over and over again. I would love to be more creative with vegetables, and I think my family would appreciate that too. Enter, vegetable cookbooks.

Naked® Juice Coconut Water Review (National Nutrition Month®)

I am a water person. Water is my choice of beverage at home and when eating out. However, occasionally, it is nice to drink something else, something with flavor. A few years ago, beverage companies began adding flavor to water. I gave it a try. Some flavors worked better than others, but in the end, it was just water. Adults create meals from scratch for everybody else in the family, why not the most vulnerable and food-sensitive member?

I wanted to find something fun, creative, and tasty to feature for my National Nutrition Month® series. Element Bars certainly fits the bill. The company provides nutritious, flavorful, and customized snack bars. There are many healthy snack choices available out in the market, but who says you can't make your own?

Nuts About Granola Review (National Nutrition Month®)

As part of my National Nutrition Month® series, I was in search of products that are both nutritious and tastes good. During my research, I found Nuts About Granola. Typically, granola consists of natural ingredients such as oats and grains, with added fruits, seeds, and sweeteners to vary flavor. Due to its contents, granola is relatively healthy and provides fiber as well as macro and micronutrients. What made me gravitate towards Nuts About Granola was the fact that all the ingredients they use are local.

Nutrition Awareness: National Nutrition Month®

Diet and nutrition are important to health. Establishing healthy habits about what to eat and how much to eat has been linked to lower disease risk. Diseases like heart disease and cancer and conditions like hypertension, high blood cholesterol, and osteoperosis are affected by what people consume and put in their bodies. March is National Nutrition Month®.
