If your kids are trick or treating this year, they will amass candy; it's inevitable. Last year, we stopped by a dentist's house and was given a toothbrush as a treat. As a public health advocate, I was excited about the toothbrush. My 3 year old, not so much. Most kids don't care about the type of candy they get, but some parents do.
