Strictly Sail Long Beach Boat Show

welcome boats in rainbow harbor
Big B loves the water and we try to expose him to different types of water activities. We live near a lake and have rented boats on occasion. I know that he is still too young for many activities like kayaking or paddle boarding, but I think it's never too early to show him what these things are and foster an appreciation for them.

The Strictly Sail Long Beach Boat Show is new to me and is something that I would love to take Big B to. I think he'll enjoy climbing aboard all the different sailboats and cruisers that line the harbor. He won't be able to get on the water, but he can pretend to sail a ship - something this pirate-loving preschooler would enjoy. Some details about the event are listed below.

Family-friendly activities include:
  • Try It Cove! Kids 10+ and adults can learn Stand Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Canoeing and sailing in Rainbow Harbor
  • Tour a variety of sailboats and luxury cruisers docked in Rainbow Harbor
  • Take a cruise around Rainbow Harbor in “Pinky” the honorary sailboat inspired by Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure”
  • Sailing Simulator
  • Seminars and Clinics
  • Dozens of exhibitors
