Dress Up Chicken with Onion Crunch® (Giveaway)

Lately, I've been experimenting more with recipes; creating my own or doctoring up existing ones. I enjoy eating a lot more than I enjoy cooking, but certainly do like the fact that I control what goes into our food when I cook at home instead of go out to eat. One fun thing about cooking is all the products you can use to create dishes. It's amazing how one simple ingredient can really spruce up a dish.

I received two bottles of Onion Crunch® to review (as well as a t-shirt, Lil' Nicky doll, and hat) on this blog. My family loves crispy onions. My mom can't have enough of them and actually enjoys snacking on them. It was definitely fun trying to figure out what to do with Onion Crunch® since it's so versatile. Instead of using it on a green bean casserole (which is what I usually do), I decided to use it as breading for chicken. Instead of using an egg wash, I used homemade honey mustard to bind the Onion Crunch® to the chicken. I also crushed the onions a little bit so that all the pieces are somewhat uniform in size.

The price point of $3.49 for a 6 ounce bottle is quite comparable to other crunchy onion brands in the market. However, other brands don't offer alternative flavors like bacon, bbq, and chipotle. Oh my! Can you imagine the possibilities? Although I had an idea of how I wanted to use these crispy onions, if you need inspiration, the company website provides a variety of recipes to try. I am intrigued by the BBQ pulled pork and halibut recipes. Yum. My family will definitely be repeat customers. I'm just glad I can find these at grocers local to my home.
