February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the number one killer of American women. As you know, I am all about prevention. A healthy diet and regular physical activity are good ways to reduce your risk of heart disease. Based on my family history, I am definitely at risk for heart disease; that's why my lifestyle choices can't be any more important.
I am working with Mimi's Cafe in their efforts to support Go Red for Women, an American Heart Association initiative. This is the second year Mimi's Cafe is helping turn America Red to fight against and spread awareness for heart disease. For the entire month of February, all 145 location will display a Red Dress. Guests who donate $1 will be given a red heart-shaped tribute card to inscribe to put on the dress display, and for $5, they receive a limited-edition sparkle red dress lapel pin. In return, Mimi's Cafe will provide up to $30 in coupons for those making an in-store donation.
