Knott's Berry Farm Winter Wonderland

It's the second week in December and we are in the thick of the holidays. Rows of houses twinkle brightly with decorative lights at night. Christmas tree lots are teeming with customers picking the perfect tree. The smell of cinnamon and nutmeg linger in coffee shops. And once again, Knott's Berry Farm is transformed into a magical holiday wonderland.

Hubby, Big B, and I spent a day at Knott's Merry Farm. Actually, we didn't get past Camp Snoopy. As soon as you step in the park, it's like going back in time; I loved the Victorian theme. It was Big B's first time at Knott's and it was the perfect time to take him. He had been obsessed with Christmas decorations since Thanksgiving and he certainly had his fill at the park. Wreaths and garlands of evergreen, shiny holiday balls, and twinkle lights were everywhere you turned. He loved it, and so did we.

• Calico Christmas Tree Lighting
• Knott's Christmas Crafts Village

Each of us had our favorite parts. Mine was definitely It's Christmas, Snoopy, the maple lollipop, and the Crafts Village. If you get a chance, make sure you stop by and try the maple lollipop. They make it fresh to order and it's delicious. 

The Crafts Village is the place to go for all things handmade. Artisans display their unique crafts for sale during this annual bazaar. From woodwork, to knitted hats, to candles, to repurposed liquor bottles, there is something for everyone. 

Lastly, If an ice skating beagle won't get you to visit Knott's, I don't know what will. The show was fantastic. I absolutely loved the finale.

As for Big B, the rides were definitely a favorite. He also enjoyed decorating a gingerbread man and meeting Snoopy.

Looking to save on park admission? Here's your chance. Every year, Knott's partners with the US Marine Corps Reserve to bring holiday cheer to children who are less fortunate. Guests who drop off new, unwrapped toys, valued at $25 or more, at the Main Gate will receive a free park admission. You can bring your own toys, purchase them at Knott's Marketplace, or make a donation online.
