MY THOUGHTS

Design
We received the dinosaur toddler scarf for our review. Upon opening the package the first thing I thought of was how lovely this scarf was. The color was just like the picture. When I gave it to my son to try on, the first thing he said was that it was soft. And it was, it reminded me of a chenille blanket. My initial hesitation with a toddler scarf was the length. The scarf was not long at all that my son could step on it and become a hazard. It was just long enough to wrap once around my son's neck and tie to keep in place. The width is just perfect for a toddler's neck.

Durability
So far, fall in Southern California has proven to be quite warm, so we have not had too many days that necessitate the use of this scarf. However, this scarf is well made and looks like it will last for quite sometime.

Functionality
When the scarf arrived, my son was so excited to use it that he wore it around the house and out to dinner (good thing it was chilly that night). He would not let go of it. He just adored this scarf and couldn't wait to show his dad. I asked him if he was comfortable and not too hot - as he tends to run a bit warm - and he said he was fine. I've actually worn it myself just to test it out and it worked perfectly; it kept my neck warm.

Price
I know that there are cheaper toddler scarves out there, like the kind made of fleece or mass produced for sale at a chain store. However, I really wanted a hand-knitted unique scarf for my son. I think the price is reasonable for something that is beautifully handcrafted, elegant, and made with love. I would definitely recommend this product to someone who wanted to give a novel gift this holiday season.

Safety
I would not recommend that this scarf be used for someone younger than 3 years old for safety reasons. On occasion, I've had to remind my son not to tug on the scarf too much as it would get too tight around the neck. We've also reminded him not to fling the scarf around so that it doesn't snag or get caught on anything. Under supervision, we have not had any safety issues with this product.
