About Pink Tools
Pink Tools are a subset of tools sold by Apollo® Precision Tools in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. A portion of the sales from the Pink Tools collection is donated to the foundation. Each piece in the collection, whether it's a tape measure or a hammer, has a pink trim for distinction. The collection includes sets of varying sizes, from a 2-piece set to a 135-piece set. Individual items such as a tape measure, bucket organizer, and utility knife are also sold separately. Similar to other Apollo® Precision Tools, Pink Tools are heat treated and chrome plated to resist corrosion.

MY THOUGHTS
Design
I received the 39 Piece General Tool Set for review. This tool kit is a perfect set to have handy around the house. It's got all the essentials for helping with basic everyday jobs and then some. I love that the trimmings on the tools are pink for a touch of femininity. I just wish that the hammer handle is rubber instead of plastic. The holes certainly help with grip and slip prevention, but I would feel more secure if it were rubber. We keep most of our tools in the garage but this stays in the house since it's quite compact and doesn't take up too much space.
Durability
The tools are well made and constructed from sturdy materials. I have not doubt that these will last a long time. So far, so good.

Functionality
As you can see below, my son's train table met an unfortunate accident. My son sometimes does not know his own strength. We took out our new Apollo tools and got working. The 39 Piece General Tool Set is a great set to give as a present to someone who is about to go on their own for the first time. The tools included in this set are the ones that I have used time and again to fix minor things around the house or put together my son's toys. I highly recommend this set not just for the donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® but as a great starter kit as well.
Price
To be honest, I don't shop for tool sets at all. However, the price of this set seems very reasonable. Not to mention that $0.50 of the purchase goes to breast cancer research.

Safety
We have not had any safety issues with this product.
